Condo Swimming Lessons in Singapore: Permission, Fees and Access

Thinking of lessons at your condo pool? Check what the management allows, who pays any fees, and what happens if the coach cannot get in.

Short answer

A coach can teach at a condo pool only if the development allows it. The resident arranges permission with the management (MCST) and pays any fees the condo charges. Swim2u supports with information but does not arrange it for you.

What Swim2u's terms say

From Swim2u's Terms and Conditions, checked 23 October 2026:

  • The client pays any deposits, one-time payments or monthly fees required by the condominium's management corporation.
  • The client makes the arrangements with the MCST for condo or private residential lessons. Swim2u says it will provide the information needed.
  • If the coach is refused entry by the security guard or management, the lesson still counts as conducted.

Before you book

Ask the managementWhy it matters
Are outside coaches allowed? Some developments restrict them
Is there a guest or coach fee, a deposit or a registration form?Fees are the resident's cost under Swim2u's terms
Which hours is the pool open to lessons?Lessons may clash with resident peak times or maintenance
How will the coach be admitted?Refused entry means the lesson counts
What are the pool rules?Caps, attire and group size limits may apply

Is the pool suitable for a beginner?

Look for a shallow, safe area where the learner can stand, a clear wall to hold, and an uncrowded time slot. Ask the coach to check the pool before the first lesson. A condo pool that is crowded or has no shallow section may not suit a nervous learner.

Condo or public pool?

A condo pool can save travel and feel more familiar. A public complex may be the better choice if your condo does not allow outside coaches. Compare them in the location guide and the public pool guide.

Swim2u's own page for this format is condoswimming.sg. Rates are on the cost guide.

Safety source

The CDC drowning-prevention guidance stresses close, constant supervision even when a child has taken lessons. A convenient condominium pool does not change that requirement; residents must also follow the property’s current access and pool rules.
