Privacy notice
This notice explains what LearnSwim.sg and the Swim2u team collect through this website, why it is used, where the chat sends information and how to make a privacy request.
Before using the chat
The chat is an AI assistant. Your messages are sent to Anthropic for processing. If you complete an enquiry, the details and conversation are sent to Swim2u through Google services for follow-up. Share only what is needed to arrange lessons; do not enter NRIC or FIN numbers, payment-card details, passwords, or detailed medical records.
Who is responsible
LearnSwim.sg is part of the Swim2u Swim School network. Swim2u handles swimming-lesson enquiries made through this site. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@swim2u.sg with the subject “Personal data request”.
Information you choose to provide
Depending on how you contact us, this may include your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, general area or postal code, preferred pool or venue, lesson category, schedule, learner age or ability, teaching-language preference, access or communication needs, and other information in your message.
For a child, a parent or guardian should make the enquiry and share only information needed to assess lesson suitability and safe participation. Avoid detailed health information in the chat; discuss necessary sensitive details directly with the team or assigned coach.
How the information is used
- to answer questions and provide relevant lesson information;
- to check location, instructor, schedule and lesson suitability;
- to contact you about the enquiry and send a confirmation where an email address is provided;
- to maintain enquiry records and prevent excessive automated requests; and
- to respond to feedback, safety concerns and privacy requests.
How the website chat works
The chat sends the conversation to LearnSwim.sg's server and then to Anthropic, the provider of the Claude AI model, to generate a response. Read Anthropic's current privacy policy. The assistant may ask for your name, WhatsApp number, email address, postal code and lesson details. A postal code may be checked against the Singapore Land Authority's OneMap service to identify the corresponding location; OneMap publishes its own privacy statement.
When the assistant saves a completed enquiry, the submitted fields and conversation are sent through a Google Apps Script service so the Swim2u team can receive the enquiry by email and record it in Google Sheets. Read Google's current privacy policy. The chat also uses a short-lived, pseudonymous server record derived from the visitor's IP address to limit message volume. The browser widget keeps the conversation in page memory while the page is open; it does not use browser local storage or cookies for chat history.
Other contact channels and providers
If you choose WhatsApp, telephone, email or an external enquiry form, that provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Website hosting and security providers may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and protection
Enquiry records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, service administration, safety, dispute handling and applicable record-keeping requirements, then deleted or anonymised when no longer required. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
Your choices
You may choose not to provide optional details, use a different contact channel, or stop the chat before submitting an enquiry. You may ask for access to or correction of personal information held about you, or withdraw consent for future use where applicable. Withdrawal may affect Swim2u's ability to arrange or administer lessons.
Email info@swim2u.sg with enough information to identify the enquiry and explain the request. Identity may need to be verified before personal information is disclosed or changed.
